Principals

Linford Pierson, OBE
Director
 

Formerly, Linford served in senior positions in both the private and public sectors. During the 1980s, Linford served as the Director of Finance for Cayman Airways; Managing Partner of KPMG/Thorne Riddell, a chartered accounting firm for the Cayman Islands; Managing Director of TRC Corporate Services; and Director of a number of private companies. In the 1960s and 1970s he was employed in the Cayman Islands Civil Service where he held the positions of Permanent Secretary for Health, Education and Social Services and Deputy Financial Secretary.

He was first elected to the Cayman Islands Legislative Assembly in 1984, served as the Minister of Cabinet for seven years, and retired as Speaker of the House in 2005.

 A Rotarian for over 40 years, Linford served as the Assistant District Governor for the Cayman Islands in Rotary District 7020 for 2004-2005. He was appointed as a Justice of the Peace in 1976, and by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II as an Officer of the Order of the British Empire in 2001. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Management Institute. A Notary Public since 1983, he has a MA in Pastoral Psychology and Counseling from St. Stephen’s College, University of Alberta, Canada. Linford is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology.


Paul Muspratt
Managing Director

Formerly, Paul was the Manager of Operations at Fortis Bank (Cayman) Limited, which provides banking, custody and trade execution services to hedge funds and other offshore entities. More recently, he established Fortis’ fund administration operations in North America.

Prior to this, he worked in the UK as a Management Consultant for Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen in its financial services groups.

At Cayman Institutional Bank (CIB) Paul is responsible for all day-to-day operations, finance and control.

He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Scotland and the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners. He earned a BA honours degree in Economics from Exeter University in the UK and served for five years as an officer in the British Army.

Prior to being appointed to the Board of Directors of CIB, Roger was the Managing Director of Fortis Bank (Cayman) Limited from 1997 to 2006, overseeing a period of sustained growth and progress.

He was also the Regional Managing Director of Fortis Prime Fund Solutions with responsibility for all operations in North America and the Caribbean, and has been the Managing Director of Fortis’ trust operations in the Cayman Islands.

Roger brings a wealth of relevant banking, fund administration and financial services operational experience to the Board.

He is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountant in England & Wales as well as the Chartered Institute of Taxation.

Malcolm Eden

Malcolm is the former Head of Banking Supervision at the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA) where he was responsible for making recommendations on the licensing, day- to- day supervision and enforcement relating to approximately 300 banking institutions.

At CIMA he exercised oversight of banks, credit unions and money services businesses in accordance with relevant laws and regulations, liaised with representatives from the banking sector, and provided advice and guidance on banking-related matters to the Banking Supervision Division and the Board of Directors of CIMA.

Malcolm boasts more than a decade of experience within banking and finance, and through his role at CIMA has developed deep relationships with regulatory bodies in all of the main offshore banking centres. He is highly knowledgeable of offshore banking operations and issues, and in his capacity as a regulator, has worked with the senior management of some of the world’s top banking institutions.

Malcolm holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Manchester.
